At some point in life, every one of us needs someone beside us.
Sometimes it's during illness.
Sometimes it's after loss.
Sometimes it's in moments of celebration.
Sometimes it's simply because life feels heavy.
Shark Harbor story began in October 2019 during our family's journey through breast cancer.
When our two oldest boys were little, they wanted to help. They painted rocks, sold them to family, friends, and neighbors, and proudly donated every dollar they raised to support breast cancer. It wasn't a big fundraiser, but it was a big act of love.
Over the years, our journey continued. There were more surgeries, unexpected health challenges, and seasons when simply getting through the day felt overwhelming.
That's when we experienced the incredible power of people showing up.
Friends organized meal trains.
Neighbors dropped off dinners.
Messages arrived at just the right time.
People we had never met reached out simply because they cared.
Some of those strangers became lifelong friends.
They reminded us that reaching out to someone, even in the smallest way, can make all the difference.
Then, in 2025, as a sophomore in high school, our oldest son dreamed even bigger. With the support of his school, teachers, classmates, local businesses, and an incredible community that believed in him, a simple fundraiser became something far beyond what we imagined.

It became the beginning of Shark Harbor.
Today, Shark Harbor exists to pay forward the kindness that carried our family through life's hardest seasons.
What We Believe
We believe kindness is contagious.
We believe showing up changes lives.
We believe that one person can make someone else's hardest day a little easier.
We believe everyone can be someone's Shark.
Someone who shows up. Someone who protects. Someone who reminds another person they don't have to face life's hardest moments alone.
We believe that strangers can become friends, communities can become family, and hope grows when it's shared.
